The excitement and anticipation are electric. This is what happens every time we perform Celtic Connections.
It happens in gymnasiums, auditoriums, lunchrooms, libraries, music rooms, classrooms, theaters. It doesn’t really matter where. Every time we get up in front of these kids, students, children, young adults, little darlings, it happens. We have the time of our lives! And the screams, shouts, chanting, clapping, laughing from our audience, well, that tells us the feelings are mutual.
CRAICMORE has shared its outreach program with over 70,000 students in nearly 300 performances. Through our music and stories, an interactive map of the world and instruments from across the globe, we show the positive influence diverse cultures can have on each other, while each can retain the heart of its own identity.
Educators know that Celtic Connections, with it’s accompanying work booklet, meets many specific standards in social studies, language arts and music. Don’t tell our kids, though. They’re busy having fun!
CRAICMORE has benefited from the awarding of over 26 WESTAF (Western States Arts Federation) Tour West Grants. Learn more: click here.
